Former special counsel Jack Smith is testifying before the Senate Judiciary Committee, where GOP members of the committee have accused him of “abuse of authority” and targeting of Republicans.
Smith, who secured two indictments against President Donald Trump, told senators he continues to stand by his decision to prosecute the president, saying his team “developed proof beyond a reasonable doubt that President Trump engaged in serious crimes against our nation.”
