Iran has again warned that any new war with the U.S. could last longer than the previous conflict, and that the duration of such a war will not be determined by U.S. President Donald Trump.
State television reports in Iran cited by AFP said the warning was issued on Sunday (Nov. 1) by Mohammad Akraminia, the spokesperson for Iran’s military.
Akraminia stated: “A potential future war could last longer than the previous conflict, and the U.S. president will have no authority to determine the timing or terms for ending the war.”
On the previous day (Oct. 31), Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iran’s Supreme Leader, gathered top military commanders and sternly warned the U.S. and Israel not to resume military strikes.
Khamenei ordered Iran’s armed forces to launch “direct retaliation without geographic limitations” in response to any potential threat, and instructed the military to immediately update its target list to include all U.S. and Israeli “entities and non-entities” assets.

伊朗再次警告，若与美国再爆发任何新战争，持续时间都可能比上一次冲突更长，而且战争打多久并非由美国总统特朗普说了算。
法新社引述伊朗国家电视台报道，伊朗军方发言人阿克拉米尼亚（Mohammad Akraminia）星期天（11月1日）发出上述警告。
阿克拉米尼亚说：“未来潜在的战争可能会比上一次冲突持续更久，美国总统将无权决定结束战争的时间或条件。”
就在前一天（10月31日），伊朗最高领袖穆杰塔巴召集军方高层将领，严正警告美国和以色列切勿重启军事打击行动。
穆杰塔巴下令伊朗武装部队对任何潜在威胁启动“不受地域限制的直接回击”，并要求军方即刻更新目标清单，将美以两国的“实体与非实体”资产全部纳入打击范围。
