美国民主党全国委员会主席肯·马丁将民主党与颇具争议的流媒体博主哈桑·皮克尔划清界限，称其过往言论“令人作呕、可鄙”，同时为民主党作为包容广泛政治观点的“大帐篷”政党辩护。
“我想说，哈桑·皮克尔的那些言论绝对令人作呕、可鄙，”马丁说道。“但他并不代表民主党，当然也不代表我们几乎所有候选人以及民选官员的观点。”
马丁发表此番言论前，福克斯新闻数字频道曾就民主党如何应对党内分歧一事提问，当时包括密歇根州民主党联邦参议员候选人阿卜杜勒·埃尔赛义德在内的社会主义派候选人影响力日益凸显。

皮克尔因大量批评以色列的过往言论遭到审视，其中最具争议的言论之一是声称美国“活该遭遇9·11事件”。
马丁此前曾与其他党领袖及知名民主党人一道，谴责将威胁和暴力归咎于犹太裔美国人的言论，称其“危险、错误且反犹”，但他当时并未点名皮克尔。
“批评以色列政府的政策和行动是一回事，”马丁上月在X平台上发帖称。“将针对美国犹太人的仇恨、威胁和暴力归咎于他们，则完全是另一回事。这是危险、错误且反犹的。”

马丁还预测，随着选举临近，民主党将在11月赢得参众两院的控制权，距离美国民众投票决定哪个政党掌控参众两院还有约六周时间。
“在此立此为证，”马丁说道。“这话我是第一次在这里说，对吧？还剩47天。民主党将重新夺回众议院控制权，我们也将重新掌控参议院，而且不会像共和党人那样敷衍了事。”

Democratic National Committee Chair Ken Martin distanced his party from far-left streamer Hasan Piker, calling his past remarks “disgusting and deplorable” while defending Democrats as a “big tent” that encompasses a wide range of political views.
“Let me just say that I think it’s absolutely disgusting and deplorable the things that Hasan Piker has said,” Martin said. “But he does not represent the Democratic Party, and he certainly doesn’t represent the viewpoints of almost every one of our candidates and our elected officials.”
Martin made the remarks after Fox News Digital asked how the party is navigating divisions among Democrats as socialist candidates gain prominence, including Michigan Democratic Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed.

“Look, no one should confuse unity with unanimity in the Democratic Party, right?” Martin said. “We are a big tent party. We have lots of different viewpoints and ideas and all sorts of issues.”
Piker has been scrutinized for a slew of past comments critical of Israel — one of his most controversial comments was claiming that the U.S. “deserved 9/11.”
Martin previously joined other party leaders and prominent Democrats in condemning rhetoric blaming Jewish Americans for threats and violence, calling it “dangerous, wrong, and antisemitic,” but his statement did not name Piker.
“Criticizing the policies and actions of the Israeli government is one thing,” Martin posted to X last month. “Blaming American Jews for the hatred, threats, and violence directed at them is something else entirely. It is dangerous, wrong, and antisemitic.”
The comments come as El-Sayed, who campaigned with Piker during Michigan’s Democratic primary, has sought to distance himself from the streamer as Republicans make their association a midterm attack line.

Martin also called out Republicans for cutting the House’s September session short and leaving Capitol Hill weeks before the midterm elections, telling Fox News Digital there is crucial legislative work that will be left unfinished.
Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., announced last week that he was canceling votes scheduled last week and sent lawmakers home one day early ahead of the midterm election recess. Johnson has defended the decision, saying the House had “done its work.”
“Republicans… they’re afraid to actually come to Washington for a whole host of reasons, right?” Martin said. “They’ve recessed saying mission accomplished six weeks early when they could actually do something to help the American people.”
“What the hell are they doing? Where are they going? You know what, Democrats are here. We’re ready to work. We are ready to pass legislation that actually helps get people a chance, an opportunity, a chance to get ahead. Where the hell are the Republicans?”

Martin also predicted Democrats would win control of both chambers in November as the elections inch closer, with roughly six weeks until Americans vote to determine which party will control the Senate and the House.
“Mark my words right here,” Martin said. “You heard it here first, right? 47 days left. The Democratic Party is going to take control of the House back, and we’re going to control the Senate back, and we’re not going to screw around like these Republicans have.”
