犹他州州长斯宾塞·考克斯表示，他本希望该州与Meta的和解能争取到更多成果，但“要通过法院推动平台做出一些改变可能难度更大”。不过考克斯仍称，此次和解是向前迈出的重要一步，他希望这能向其他社交媒体公司以及人工智能公司传递一个明确信号：“我们不会任由你们用十年时间毁掉我们的孩子，之后再让你们承担责任；我们会在一开始就追究你们的责任。”

Utah Governor hopes Meta Settlement ‘is a message, not just for other social media companies, but for the AI companies’

Utah Governor Spencer Cox wishes he could have gotten more out of his state’s settlement with Meta, but “it may have been a little more difficult to get some of the changes to the platform through courts.” Still Cox said the settlement is a big step forward, and he hopes it gets the message across to other social media companies and AI companies alike, “we’re not going to let you ruin our kids for a decade, plus, then hold you accountable; we are going to hold you accountable right at the beginning.”
