As controversy surrounding Democratic Senate candidate Graham Platner continues to mount, attention is turning to a little-known provision of Maine law that could allow Democrats to replace him on the general election ballot after the primary.

The question has taken on new significance because Maine election law provides a mechanism for replacing a nominee who withdraws after winning a primary.

Under Maine law, a candidate who wins the June 9 primary and subsequently withdraws by 5 p.m. on July 13 may be replaced by a nominee selected by party officials. Any replacement candidate must be chosen no later than 5 p.m. on July 27. The timeline would give Democrats just 14 days to settle on a replacement candidate and prepare for the general election campaign.

While there is no public indication that Democrats are pursuing such a strategy, the provision has fueled speculation about what options the party would have if concerns about Platner’s candidacy continue to grow.

The scrutiny comes as Platner has faced a series of controversies in recent weeks, including criticism over a tattoo with links to Nazi imagery, resurfaced Reddit posts in which he made inflammatory comments about veterans, sexual assault and political opponents and reports about sexually explicit messages exchanged with other women during his marriage.

Platner, a Marine veteran and oyster farmer, has defended himself against the criticism and retained the support of prominent Democrats, including Sens. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., and Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass. Still, some party figures have questioned whether the allegations could complicate Democrats’ efforts to unseat Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine, in one of the nation’s most closely watched Senate races.

BERNIE SANDERS DEFENDS MAINE SENATE CANDIDATE UNDER FIRE FOR REDDIT COMMENTS

Among the Democrats who have publicly criticized Platner is Rep. Jake Auchincloss, D-Mass., who described the candidate’s tattoo controversy as “personally disqualifying.” Former Maine state Rep. Genevieve McDonald, who previously served as Platner’s political director, resigned from the campaign and has publicly questioned his viability, reportedly describing him as unelectable.

Although Maine law provides a post-primary window for Democrats to replace Platner on the general election ballot if he voluntarily withdraws, any such effort would face significant political hurdles. Platner remains the overwhelming favorite to win the June 9 primary, and there is currently no public evidence that party leaders are organizing a campaign to force him from the race.

Susan Collins blasts Democratic Senate candidate Graham Platner’s mocking of a U.S. wounded soldier as the two are headed toward a likely November showdown as resurfaced Reddit posts continue to resurface from Platner.(Bill Clark/CQ-Roll Call, Inc via Getty Images; Joe Raedle/Getty Images)

But the political reality may be more important than the procedural one. Following former Gov. Janet Mills’ decision not to run, much of the Democratic establishment has consolidated behind Platner, and national Democratic figures have continued to support his candidacy despite the controversies.

For now, the question remains largely hypothetical. While Maine law provides a mechanism for replacing a nominee under certain circumstances, Democrats have shown little public appetite for revisiting the race absent a major new development.

Unveiling the history beneath the Lincoln Memorial

    May 31, 2026 / 9:27 AM EDT / CBS News

To call Washington a “swamp” is a metaphor, but also the literal truth. So, when planning began for the Lincoln Memorial in the early 1910s, builders faced a real sinking problem. Their solution led to one of Washington’s best-kept secrets, hidden for over a century … until now.

Underneath the Lincoln Memorial is what’s known as the memorial’s Undercroft (a term usually reserved for the vaulted basement of a medieval castle or cathedral). Here, 120 massive concrete pillars sink 50 feet into the ground, down to the bedrock, to support the weight of the marble above.

The Undercroft, constructed to support the weight of the Lincoln Memorial above. CBS News

The entire space, 50,000 square feet (almost twice the size of the memorial above), has never been seen by the public before, said Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum. He also pointed out the stalactites: “They’re still dripping. And of course, as the rainwater comes through cracks in the granite, it seeps down here, picks up calcium,” he said.

Visitors will be able to see it for themselves starting this June, in a new museum hanging directly beneath the memorial. “I thought it would be a good idea just to have more of an educational role for the Lincoln Memorial,” said philanthropist David Rubenstein, who helped bring the Undercroft out of the shadows, donating a quarter of the $69 million needed for its transformation.

“You can’t really be a great country if you don’t really honor your history and understand your history,” Rubenstein said.

The Undercroft, now containing a museum, lies beneath the Lincoln Memorial. CBS News

He hopes it expands our understanding of Abraham Lincoln, whose own life wasn’t as grand as the marble above suggests. “He had a very complicated life,” Rubenstein said. “He had a lot of tragedy in his life. A lot of his children died before they were very old. He had a very complicated marriage as well. But in the end, he rose up to the occasion and became, I think, our greatest president.”

Some of the exhibits will also be about the memorial itself. Howard University historian Edna Greene Medford sees the memorial as a stage for America’s changing ideas of freedom. “I think it’s still about freedom, hope, and today it’s about inclusion,” she said.

A new museum was built within the Undercroft’s 50,000-sq. ft. space. CBS News

In 1939, contralto Marian Anderson, barred by Whites-only policies at the city’s indoor venues, moved her concert performance here, delivering the opening notes to a decades-long battle for civil rights where the memorial often took center stage.

As Martin Luther King Jr said on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in 1963, “Now is the time to rise from the dark and desolate valley of segregation to the sunlit path of racial justice. Now is the time.”

Medford said, “The memorial becomes not just a symbol for freedom for Black people, but it becomes a symbol of freedom for various groups. They feel that this is their memorial. And they are interpreting freedom in their own way.”

The museum touches on this history, but it is opening at a moment when other national park sites are removing signs and reviewing exhibitions related to slavery and racism. The administration calls it “restoring truth and sanity to American history.”

But with slavery and racism such a fundamental part of the story of the Lincoln Memorial and the new museum, who gets to determine the truth? According to Secretary Burgum, “There’s a place to have current cultural debates. And then, there’s a place to just tell and celebrate our history. We’re not a nation without flaws, but we are a nation that was based on continuous improvement. And we may have ‘over-rotated’ towards a point of some kind of massive self-criticism, ’cause maybe it was expedient, politically, in the short term. It’s important, when we’re using federal dollars, that we tell the story that celebrates this country.”

Interior Secretary Doug Burgum shows correspondent Faith Salie one of the Undercroft’s columns that still bears graffiti by the original construction workers. CBS News

The Undercroft invites visitors to see the Lincoln Memorial in its entirety – not just the ideal in marble above, but the work, the weight, and the imperfections underneath. A fitting view perhaps, for Lincoln, and for a country still gathering at his feet.

In the year before we left the White House, Joe began waking up repeatedly at night. This symptom, I knew, was common in men his age, and almost always caused by something benign. Joe never missed his annual physical—at his February 28, 2024, exam at Walter Reed Medical Center, his doctor proclaimed him “a healthy, active, robust 81-year-old male, who remains fit to successfully execute the duties of the Presidency”—and he had access to the best medical care available. Right there in the residence, there’s a fully staffed twenty-four-hour doctor’s office. You stop in because you have a headache, because your throat is sore, because you need your flu shot or COVID booster.

Knowing that Joe would prefer to speak about any urological issues with his male doctors rather than with his wife, I alerted one of them to make sure they knew. “He was up seven times last night,” I said. “I’m worried about him.”

Now that the doctors had been made aware of the issue, I trusted that Joe would be examined and treated. But as far as I could tell, the issue persisted. Even knowing this, I never imagined that the cause of this very common symptom of age would turn out to be cancer.

While it surely sounds old-fashioned that I spoke about the issue to the doctors rather than to Joe directly, it’s always been the nature of our relationship that we’ve maintained a veil of discretion around personal health. When I went through menopause, I never spoke about it with him, even though I experienced two years of horrible insomnia, and when I did manage to fall asleep I was jolted awake by night sweats.

Back in Wilmington, I realized that Joe’s symptoms had gotten worse, and I encouraged him to make an appointment with a urologist.

Joe went up to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia for the appointment. At the very first examination, the doctor said, “There’s something here. We need to find out what it is.” He sent Joe for a biopsy May 15.

We got a call later that same day. The urologist told us that Joe had cancer, and he ordered various other tests to find out if the cancer had spread.

One of the questions we’ve been asked is why Joe hadn’t had a recent prostate exam. That was a question I had, too. I’ve since learned that the American Urological Association doesn’t recommend routine prostate-specific antigen (PSA) screening for men older than seventy. The thinking is that prostate cancer usually spreads more slowly in older men. Cancer at that age doesn’t tend to affect life expectancy, which for men in the US is about seventy-six. Sometimes the risk of performing a biopsy in an older man can outweigh the benefits.

Due to a high PSA, Joe’s cancer appeared to be advanced. We still had hope, though, that the cancer was localized to his prostate. Joe went for a PET scan, also at Jefferson Hospital, on May 16. We waited for the scan results in an exam room that was the size of a closet. It had a curtain, not a door. Joe was in the exam chair, and I was sitting on a chair they’d brought in for me.

The results didn’t take long, about half an hour. The doctor opened the curtain. As soon as I saw her face, I knew.

“I’m sorry,” she said. “Oh, I’m so sorry.” She wouldn’t stop saying “I’m sorry.”

Stage IV. It had spread to his bones.

Prostate cancer is very common—one in eight men receive the diagnosis in their lifetime, and it is highly treatable when found early. So many men have notably had it and treated it successfully—John Kerry, Robert De Niro, Ben Stiller, Colin Powell, Warren Buffett … Yet, in all the cases I knew about, they’d caught it earlier; it hadn’t spread to their bones.

I walked out of that closet of a room, past the Secret Service.

Breathe, I kept repeating to myself as I headed to the ladies’ room to compose myself before I faced anyone.

Then the questions began—starting with what course of treatment would be best. We had to act fast. We needed a plan. Joe could do radiation and hormone therapy. Thanks to that regimen, he would have every hope of many more years left. His doctors said that it was unlikely the cancer would kill him; he would likely live out his natural life.

    Breathe.

The press statement went out May 18. Joe’s staff, the younger staffers in particular, were devastated. But we couldn’t dwell in the grief because we were put immediately on the defensive, accused of having hidden his illness. The question became: How was it possible that the president of the United States, the most powerful man in the world, a man who has a medical team—not just a doctor, a medical team—around him twenty-four hours a day could wind up with cancer so advanced? Joe couldn’t stub his toe without ten people wanting to run at him waving bales of gauze. You put the president in bubble wrap, and he ends up with stage IV prostate cancer? It made no sense.

Truly, I did not know what to say to people who were baffled like that doctor on the beach. I felt the same way. I was stunned. And yet, I didn’t want to waste too much energy looking back and asking how this could have happened. We had no time to lose. He had to get started on treatment. Joe went in for a bone density test on May 21, and the next day he began hormone therapy. The hormone pills can cause serious side effects, particularly fatigue and moodiness. That has been true for Joe.

As anyone who’s ever loved someone through a major illness knows—and I went through it with both my parents, and both Joe’s parents, and, most excruciatingly, with Beau—you live in a world of questions: What time is the physical therapist coming? Did he take his medicine? What did he have for breakfast? How much water is he drinking? He didn’t sleep well last night—do I need to call the doctor?

    Worry becomes your constant companion

Children “held like criminals” inside ICE detention center

    2026-05-31 9:52 AM EDT / CBS News

Joel Andre is a 17-year-old immigrant from the Democratic Republic of Congo, a soccer-obsessed high school junior who now lives just outside of Portland, Maine. At the moment, for Joel and his younger sister, Estafania, homework is taking a back seat to this summer’s World Cup – which is the perfect distraction at this dinner table for a family that badly needs one. “Every time I’m doing something, I always think about Olivia,” said Joel.

Olivia is their 19-year-old sister. All three, along with their mother, Carine, were detained last November at the South Texas Family Residential Center in Dilley, Texas.

“In Dilley was very hard, very hard,” said Joel. “Especially to kids, right? The food, the water you drink, even the water you shower, is the worst.”

But when Joel, Estafania and their mother were released in March, Olivia, at 19 years old, had to stay. Joel said, “We all went like, why? Why?”

Estafania said, “I have a hope that we can all be together, but I don’t know when, where.”

Olivia, an asylum seeker, was kept in detention at the South Texas Family Residential Center in Dilley, Texas, after her mother and siblings were released. Family Photo

The family had fled the Congo after Carine, an activist, was brutalized for speaking out against the ruling regime. They came here seeking political asylum.

Elora Mukherjee, director of the Immigrants Rights Clinic at Columbia University, and the family’s lawyer, says if Carine and her children did not leave the DRC, chances are they would not be alive.

According to Mukherjee, when the family arrived in 2022, they were vetted and released to await their hearing after they were deemed to pose no threat. They complied with all their check-ins. “They showed up for every single appointment, and did everything they were supposed to do,” she said.

    But it wasn’t enough.

In February of 2025, a judge ordered them deported. Scared of being sent back to the Congo, they tried to go to Canada, but were denied entry and sent back to the U.S., where they were then sent to Dilley.

The South Texas Family Residential Center in Dilley, Texas. CBS News

Mukherjee has been inside Dilley. “It is a series of trailers,” she said. “Families and children alike consistently report that they do not have access to sufficient clean drinking water, that they found live worms, bugs and mold in their meals. The lights are on 24/7, making it really difficult for everyone detained there to sleep.”

Those accounts have been repeated by dozens of detainees in sworn testimony, written letters, and interviews.

    CBS News

More than 6,300 children under 18, some as young as two months old, have been detained by federal immigration authorities during President Trump’s second term. Nearly half have been detained at Dilley. Ninety-seven percent had no criminal record.

“It’s the only place I can think of in America where we imprison young children who have done absolutely nothing wrong,” said Congressman Joaquin Castro. “Instead of treating them like asylum seekers who were vetted to come into the country, they’re treating them like criminals.” The Democrat Representative from San Antonio is calling for Dilley to be shut down.

Asked what the policy objective could be for creating conditions such as those reported from inside Dilley, Castro replied, “I think it’s meant to send a very ugly message, that we don’t want you here, that you’re not welcome.”

Dilley opened in 2014. President Obama intended to hold migrant families there who’d been caught crossing the southern border illegally. President Biden closed it a decade later.

When President Trump reopened Dilley in 2025, a for-profit company, CoreCivic, was given a contract worth $180 million annually to run it.

CoreCivic denies the charges of any substandard care or conditions at Dilley, telling “Sunday Morning,” “The conditions described in your inquiry do not reflect the operations, standards or care provided at the Dilley Immigration Processing Center.” See full statement below.

Joel, Estafania and Carine. CBS News

Joel, Estafania and Carine were held at Dilley for almost four months. “For, like, all we’ve been through,” said Estafania, “going to Dilley just, like, broke our hearts.”

That alone violated something called the Flores Settlement, a federal order that’s been in place for nearly 30 years requiring the prompt release of children. One federal court has said that means no more than 20 days.

Asked if he’d thought that there were laws in place that would prevent them from being held in Dilley more than 20 days, Joel replied, “Yes. But they broke all those laws.”

While a federal court has rejected a White House effort to terminate the Flores Settlement, the administration is appealing.

    Inside Dilley

This past week, we went with Congressman Castro to Dilley, where families also complain about a lack of health care and a lack education for their kids. “These kids, they’re hugging my leg and they’re asking me to get ’em outta there,” Castro said. “I mean, they are four years old, six years old, and they’re basically in a trailer prison.”

Our CBS News crew got as far as the front gate. The restrictions in place at Dilley say no reporters are allowed. And even those who do get in, like Members of the U.S. House of Representatives, have to surrender their phones upon entry, meaning there are somewhere near 100 children inside Dilley – and not one picture of the conditions in which they live.

Rep. Joaquin Castro outside the ICE detention facility at Dilley. CBS News

It was Castro’s sixth trip to Dilley since President Trump returned to office. Upon leaving, he said, “They told us that there are three kids who are under the age of three. We met with a 15-year old boy, he said that he hasn’t eaten in days because he doesn’t feel like eating, he’s depressed.”

I asked, “Are you surprised that even you can’t use your camera, use your phone?”

“Yeah, I’m surprised that we let them get away with this,” Castro replied. “I’m surprised that we have not taken a stronger stand and said, when you’ve got a group of people, including kids, that have committed no crime, we’re not gonna put up with that, we are going to be able to see what’s going on.”

According to its 2027 budget proposal, the White House wants to add 30,000 more beds in family detention centers.

Our requests to the Department of Homeland Security to discuss Dilley were denied. But they did provide a written statement: “Another day and another hoax about the South Texas Family Residential Center … Any claim that there are subprime conditions at ICE detention facilities is FALSE. All detainees are provided with proper meals, quality water, blankets, medical treatment.” The statement also called the Flores Settlement “a tool of the left.” See full statement below.

Elora Mukherjee said, “Americans don’t yet know what is happening at the Family Detention Center in Dilley. And once more people know, people will feel motivated to speak out against the abuses there.”

As for Joel, Estafania and Carine, while we were still with them in Maine, they got the call: Olivia would be released, after more than five months in detention.

A few days later, an airport reunion gave this family’s Dilley story a happier ending than most.

Olivia (in white) is welcomed home at Portland International Jetport. CBS News

While Joaquin Castro and others share the family’s joy, he says this is the exception, not the rule. “The government knows they’re not criminals, and yet they’re being held like criminals,” he said.

And it’s what we can’t see where Congressman Castro thinks we should train our focus: “To really understand that’s going on with Dilley, we gotta be able to see what’s going on behind those walls. There’s a brutality behind those walls.”

    Full statement from DHS

The following statement was provided to “Sunday Morning” by a spokesperson for the Department of Homeland Security:

“Another day and another hoax about the South Texas Family Residential Center. Nearly every single day, this office responds to media questions on FALSE allegations about illegal alien detention centers. The media is clearly desperate for these allegations of inhumane conditions at this facility to be true. Here are the facts: Dilley does meet federal detention standards and actually undergoes regular audits and inspections. When will the media stop peddling hoaxes about illegal alien detention centers and start focusing on American victims of illegal alien crime?

“Any claim that there are subprime conditions at ICE detention facilities is FALSE. All detainees are provided with proper meals, quality water, blankets, medical treatment, and have opportunities to communicate with their family members and lawyers. ICE has higher detention standards than most U.S. prisons that hold actual U.S. citizens. It is a longstanding practice to provide comprehensive medical care from the moment an alien enters ICE custody. This includes medical, dental, and mental health intake screening within 12 hours of arriving at each detention facility, a full health assessment within 14 days of entering ICE custody or arrival at a facility, and access to medical appointments and 24-hour emergency care. This is the best healthcare many aliens have received in their entire lives. Meals are certified by dieticians. All of this is funded the by the U.S. taxpayer.

“Children residing in the facility have access to educational programming, age-appropriate books and toys, and outdoor activities. Infant care packages include formula, baby food, bottles, diapers, wipes and hygiene items; the facility also provides sippy cups and cribs. Staff also provide for special diets and allergy accommodations when necessary.

“For years, the Flores consent decree has been a tool of the left that is antithetical to the law and wastes valuable U.S. taxpayer funded resources.

“Parents have a choice if they want to be removed with their children or ICE will place the children with a safe person the parent designates. This is consistent with past administrations’ immigration enforcement.

“DHS takes its responsibility to protect children seriously and will continue to work with federal law enforcement to ensure that children are safe and protected. Parents, who are here illegally, can take control of their departure. Through the CBP Home App, the Trump Administration is giving parents illegally in the country a chance to take full control of their departure and self-deport, with the potential ability to return the legal, right way and come back to live the American dream. It is free and available for all mobile devices.”

    Full statement from CoreCivic

The following statement was provided to “Sunday Morning” by Brian Todd, manager, Public Affairs, at CoreCivic:

“Nothing matters more to CoreCivic than the health, safety and well-being of the people in our care. The conditions described in your inquiry do not reflect the operations, standards or care provided at the Dilley Immigration Processing Center (DIPC).

“The responsive information we have provided below is independently verifiable and directly contradicts the allegations in your inquiry. We would welcome the opportunity to review any evidence CBS Sunday Morning has gathered that it believes supersedes this record before broadcast.

“DIPC gets the same clean drinking water the local utility supplies to the surrounding community. The City of Dilley Water Department conducts monthly independent tests on DIPC’s water supply to verify its safety and cleanliness for drinking. Consumer Confidence water quality reports, which are available for public review, are also provided annually by the City, consistent with the federal Safe Drinking Water Act. State officials at the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality have also performed their own assessments, confirming that the water is safe and clean for consumption. As an added measure, locations where drinking water is accessed at the facility are equipped with filters to help ensure consistent taste quality.

“We provide three nutritious meals daily at DIPC, including fruits and vegetables, with menus reviewed and approved by a registered dietitian. On religious dietary accommodations, DIPC provides halal, kosher and other religious dietary options as appropriate. The suggestion that religious dietary needs are being denied is false and not consistent with our documented practices.

“Staff routinely drink the water and eat the meals at DIPC.

“The children and their families at DIPC receive health care that is clinically rigorous, federally overseen and delivered with dignity.Residents receive:

    • Timely medical evaluation by providers trained in pediatrics, including general pediatricians, child and adolescent psychiatrists, therapists and psychologists.
    • Trauma-informed mental health screeningat intake, using validated clinical tools, with ongoing reassessment and access to continued support.
    • Care froman interdisciplinary team, including nurses, dentists, advanced practice providers and specialists, operating within a medical home model to ensure continuity of care.

“We would direct you to this comprehensive statement from CoreCivic’s Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Kristen Dauss, which provides additional detail on the care provided at DIPC.

“Democratic U.S. Representative Henry Cuellarrecently visited the DIPC and comments on a number of these issues, includingfood, water and medical care, beginning at 4:44 in this Facebook post.

“Currently, staff educators are facilitating age-appropriate educational programsand activities for children housed at the facility. All educators are bilingual, and additional language services are available at the facility based on any needs. CoreCivic has finalized plans to further expand educational program offerings, with the expectation that all educational requirements will be fulfilled by mid-July.

“We also encourage you to take thisvirtual tourof the facility.

“We also point you to the following link, which directlyaddresses many of the concernsat DIPC you raised in your inquiry – https://www.corecivic.com/news/setting-the-record-straight-dilley-immigration-processing-center

“It’s worth noting that family residential centers have operated under federal authority since the Obama administration, across administrations of both parties. CoreCivic does not set or enforce immigration law. What we do — and what we’re committed to — is ensuring that every person in our care receives safe, humane and appropriate treatment while that law is administered. The record we have provided here reflects that commitment.”

Trump: If we find half the fraud in this country, we’ll have a balanced budget

President Donald Trump fired back at critics of his health and cognitive abilities just two weeks before his 80th birthday, repeating his new favorite moniker for his Democrat critics, calling out the “Dumocrats.”

“All people running for President and Vice President should be forced to take high difficulty Cognitive Tests,” Trump wrote in an overnight Truth Social post.

“Congress, and the Dumocrats, should demand it!”

Trump is set to become only the second president to serve at the advanced age of 80 after former President Joe Biden.

“The results of my Physical Examination, taken at Walter Reed Military Medical Center, and just released, were extremely good,” Trump’s post began. “Unlike other U.S. Presidents, none of whom have ever taken an approved, high difficulty, Cognitive Test, I scored a perfect 30 out of 30, considered ‘extreme intelligence.’

    “Are the Dumocrats really surprised?”

Trump has long touted his cognitive test scores, using it as one of his campaign rally staples in contrast to his predecessor Biden, who was the oldest U.S. president in history at 82 when he left office in January 2025.

The White House released a memorandum Friday night from Capt. Sean P. Barbabella, the physician to the president, detailing Trump’s May 26 annual medical examination. The memo said the evaluation included diagnostic studies, laboratory testing conducted over the past year and consultations with 22 specialty providers.

The physician’s summary said Trump “remains in excellent health,” with “strong cardiac, pulmonary, neurological, and overall physical function.” It also said his cognitive and physical performance were “excellent” and that he is “fully fit to carry out all duties of the Commander-in-Chief and Head of State.”

“His demanding daily schedule, including multiple high-level meetings, public engagements, and regular physical activity, continues to support his overall well-being,” Barbabella wrote.

    https://www.foxnews.com/video/6397095039112

The memo said Trump’s neurological exam showed normal mental status, cranial nerves, motor strength, sensation, reflexes, gait and balance. It said he completed the Montreal Cognitive Assessment, known as the MoCA, and scored 30 out of 30.

“In fact, this is my fourth such test, all PERFECT or, 120 correct answers out of 120 questions asked!” Trump added in his post. “It is very rare that anyone gets a Perfect Score, especially when achieved four times in a row.”

Screenings for depression and anxiety were also listed as normal, but the report noted slight lower leg swelling, improved from last year, and bruising on the backs of his hands, which the physician attributed to minor soft tissue irritation from “frequent handshaking” while taking aspirin for cardiovascular prevention. The bruising is “common and benign,” according to the physician.

Trump’s lab results were listed largely within normal ranges. His total cholesterol was 143, LDL cholesterol was 53, HDL cholesterol was 70 and triglycerides were 104. His fasting glucose was 83.2, hemoglobin A1c was 5.3 and PSA was 1.0. The memo also listed normal kidney, liver, thyroid and cardiac-related markers.
