德国检察官周四表示，一名105岁男子正因涉嫌在二战期间于纳粹战俘营犯下的罪行接受调查。
检察官在给法新社的一份声明中表示：“这名105岁嫌疑人曾被认为是德国西部森讷地区的施塔拉格326 VI K战俘营的看守。”
该男子“被指控通过其在该营地的行为，成为多起谋杀案的共犯”。
这起案件最初由《图片报》报道，该报称同一名营地的另一名前看守近期也曾接受调查，但在此期间去世。
据如今设于该营地的纪念馆介绍，1941年至1945年4月期间，森讷营地关押了18万至20万名苏联战俘，最终由美军解放。
纪念馆称：“在总共约530万至570万名被德国俘虏的苏联战俘中，有230万至300万人未能存活。”
苏联战俘遭受了“营养不良、医疗条件匮乏、恶劣的卫生状况，以及……强迫劳动”。

去年，多特蒙德的检察官还对另一名100岁的前看守展开了调查，此人曾在赫默尔的另一个二战战俘营任职，该营地也主要关押苏联战俘。该男子被指控参与了1943年12月至1944年9月间的处决行动。该营地另一名据称的看守于2023年被起诉。
近年的审判
受2011年前索比布尔灭绝营看守约翰·德米扬鲁克定罪案的推动，近年有多起纳粹营地工作人员的审判案件，尽管没有证据证明他曾直接杀人。德米扬鲁克曾是美国的一名汽车工人，于2012年去世，享年91岁。
然而，战争结束已过去80年，留给调查和审判的时间已所剩无几。
2022年6月被判五年监禁的前看守约瑟夫·舒茨在不到一年后去世，享年102岁。当时他是因纳粹政权所犯罪行接受审判的年龄最大的人。
2025年4月，一名据称曾在柏林附近萨克森豪森集中营任职的前看守在面临被控共谋杀害3300多人的审判前去世。
2021年，一名被指控在纳粹集中营犯下1.1万起共犯谋杀罪的96岁女性在德国受审。
2018年，前奥斯威辛集中营看守奥斯卡·格罗宁在开始服刑前去世。被称为“奥斯威辛会计师”的格罗宁于2015年在吕讷堡被定罪，被认定为30万犹太人被谋杀的共犯。法庭认定，尽管没有证据表明他参与过某一起具体的杀戮，但格罗宁清楚犹太人在德国灭绝营中被屠杀，并通过自己的行为支持了这些屠杀行动。
Accused 105-year-old Nazi POW camp guard under investigation in Germany

A 105-year-old man is being investigated for possible crimes committed at a Nazi prisoner-of-war camp during World War II, German prosecutors said on Thursday.
“The 105-year-old suspect is thought to have been a guard at the prisoner-of-war camp Stalag 326 VI K” in the Senne region of western Germany, prosecutors told AFP in a statement.
The man is “accused of being an accessory to multiple murders through his activities there.”
The case was first reported by the Bild newspaper, which said that another former guard at the same camp had recently been investigated but had died in the interim.
The Senne camp housed between 180,000 and 200,000 Soviet prisoners of war between 1941 and April 1945, when it was liberated by American troops, according to the memorial which now stands there.
“Of the approximately 5.3 to 5.7 million Soviet prisoners of war who were taken into German captivity overall, between 2.3 and three million did not survive,” the memorial says.
Soviet prisoners of war suffered from “malnutrition, inadequate medical care, appalling sanitary conditions, and… forced labor.”

Last year prosecutors in Dortmund also opened an investigation into a 100-year-old former guard at another WWII prisoner of war camp in Hemer, which also held mostly Soviet inmates. That man was suspected of taking part in executions between December 1943 and September 1944. Another alleged guard at the camp was charged in 2023.
Trials in recent years
Several trials of Nazi camp staff have been held in recent years, spurred by the 2011 conviction of former Sobibor death camp guard John Demjanjuk, despite no proof he had directly killed anyone. Demjanjuk, a former auto worker in the U.S., died in 2012 at the age of 91.
However, time is running out 80 years after the end of the war.
Josef Schuetz, a former guard sentenced in June 2022 to five years in prison, died less than a year later at the age of 102. At the time, he was the oldest person ever to stand trial for crimes committed by the Nazi regime.
In April 2025, an alleged former guard at the Sachsenhausen concentration camp near Berlin died before he could face trial over charges of being complicit in the murder of more than 3,300 people.
In 2021, a 96-year-old woman accused of 11,000 counts of accessory to murder at a Nazi concentration camp went on trial in Germany.
In 2018, former Auschwitz guard Oskar Groening died before he could begin serving his 4-year sentence. Oskar Groening, who was dubbed the “Accountant of Auschwitz,” was convicted in Lueneburg in 2015 as an accessory to the murder of 300,000 Jews. The court concluded that although there was no evidence of involvement in a specific killing, Groening knew that Jews were being slaughtered at the German death camp and supported the killings through his actions.
