自8月24日起，部分沃尔玛门店的顾客将可以在结账时选择碰一碰支付方式，使用Apple Pay、谷歌支付（Google Pay）及其他数字支付技术完成购物付款。
沃尔玛表示，公司计划在2026年底前在所有沃尔玛和山姆会员店门店推广碰一碰支付服务，而该服务将于2027年中期在沃尔玛加油站上线。
沃尔玛在一份声明中称：“这一切都是为了给顾客和会员提供更多选择，让日常购物变得更轻松——从他们管理个人财务的方式，到结账时的付款方式。”
沃尔玛此前一直拒绝接受市面上主流的数字支付方式，以鼓励顾客使用其自家的沃尔玛支付系统，该系统需要使用二维码。

Walmart will soon let its customers make purchases using Apple Pay and other tap-to-pay methods, the retail giant said on Friday.
Beginning on Aug. 24, customers at select Walmart stores will be able to choose a tap-to-pay option at checkout, allowing them to make purchases with Apple Pay, Google Pay and other digital payment technologies.
Walmart intends to roll out tap-to-pay at all Walmart and Sam’s Club locations by the end of 2026, while the service will be available at the retailer’s gas stations by mid-2027, the company said.
“It all comes back to giving customers and members more choice and making everyday shopping a little easier — from how they manage their money to how they pay at checkout,” the company said in a statement.
Walmart held off on accepting commonly used digital payment methods to encourage customers to use its Walmart Pay system, which required QR codes.
Walmart shoppers had often complained that they couldn’t use Apple Pay, which is accepted at more than85% of U.S. retailers, at the company’s stores.
