Trump says Rep. Miller, accused of domestic abuse, is ‘a very good person,’ declines to weigh in
President Donald Trump said Monday that while he believes Rep. Max Miller is “a very good person,” he’s “going to let the families figure that out,” before weighing in more substantively on the domestic abuse allegations against the Ohio Republican. Miller posted a video to social media over the weekend insisting he will stay in his race for reelection, despite claims of domestic abuse from his ex-wife and a statement from his former father-in-law, Ohio Republican Sen. Bernie Moreno, that the congressman “should not serve” in Congress. Miller was married to Moreno’s daughter, Emily Moreno, from 2022 to 2025, and they share a daughter. Their divorce led to a highly contentious and public custody battle. Emily Moreno has accused Miller of multiple instances of domestic abuse, which he has denied. CNN Senior White House Correspondent Kristen Holmes joins CNN News Central.
